Take A Historical Tour Of the Royal Opera In Versailles

The history of Paris has long been steeped in cultural history. The city is famed for its opera and grand shows. Many flock to the Palais Garnier in Paris for a grand night out and to see the setting of the Phantom of the Opera. The site has even expanded into adventure games on that theme. However, this isn’t the only extravagant opera house in the region.

The Royal Opera in Versailles can beat the Palais Garnier in age and – arguably – theatricality. Yet, few have seen inside. The set was repurposed in 2009 for shows but is now being opened to the public for tours. This is a brilliant opportunity for opera fans and history enthusiasts to see this building from a new perspective. Come and learn more about the creation of the room in 1682 and its subsequent history. Tours of the set take place from now until the 22nd of September.
