Enchanted at the Eiffel Tower: The Trocadero Christmas Village

One of the coziest and most magical Christmas traditions in Paris is provided by the annual Christmas markets that pop up all around the city during this time. The most well known is the Christmas Market of the Champs-Elysées, and guests staying at one of the Sister Hotels are in the perfect spot to check it out. However, guests should also take advantage of their close proximity to the Eiffel Tower and Trocadero Square in order to see another amazing Christmas market that makes its appearance on December 12, 2013.

From then until January 5, 2014, visitors can discover the Christmas Village of Trocadero on Ice (Le Village de Noël du Trocadéro on Ice). This village presents a combination of activities and merchants all set up around the main attraction, a large ice rink that allows participants to skate right in front of the Eiffel Tower.

In addition to strapping on a pair of ice skates, visitors are also welcome to try on some skis or snowshoes as the village provides snowy spaces for outdoor winter sports. Organizers have even planned special initiation sessions to introducing cross-country skiing and recreational snowshoe activities.

Those most interested in Christmas traditions and food will also have plenty to enjoy. Artisanal  chalets house specialists from all walks of like who share their unique decorations, objects, gifts and delicacies with the Christmas crowds. Plus, an enormous igloo measuring 200 square meters will entertain adults and children alike, with Christmas shows and video projects taking place inside. As a result, there is something for everyone at this year's Christmas Village of Trocadero on Ice.
