    Spanish Costumes: Darkness and Light

In partnership with the Museo del Traje, in Madrid, until September 24th, 2017, the Musée de la Mode de la Ville de Paris-Palais Galliera will be presenting an interesting exhibition at the Maison de Victor Hugo, featuring an impressive collection of traditional Spanish costumes and accessories which were designed between the 18th century and the beginning of the 20th century.

Borrowed from the Museo del Traje, this collection of more than 40 pieces is showcased in an attempt to reflect the magical charm of the various provinces of Spain, from the Canary Islands to Aragon. It is displayed in juxtaposition with a large selection of breathtaking photographs taken by the Spanish photographer José Ortiz Echagüe along his career.

“Spanish Costumes: Darkness and Light” is one of the exhibitions that you should absolutely attend if you’re staying at one of our Sister Hotels. It will give you the chance to discover diverse things about the traditions of Spain as well as about its long and rich history.
