The Champs-Elysées Film Festival: the annual meeting of French and American cinema

Created in 2012 by Sophie Dulac, The Champs-Élysées Film Festival is a film festival dedicated to French and American films, offering a week of screenings and special events entirely dedicated to the public. As the name suggests, the films will be projected in cinemas in or close to the Champs-Elysees: UGC Georges V, Balzac, The Lincoln, Publicis Cinémas Gaumont Embassy, Gaumont Marignan, and MK2 Grand Palais.

The 4th edition of the Champs-Elysées Film Festival will be held from 10 to 16 June 2015 in Paris, where more than sixty films will be presented, including several big premieres in the presence of the film crews.

Three selections of French and American films are in competition: 8 American long independent films, 9 American short films and 13 French short films.

For the 4th edition, the festival opens two new thematic and cross sections: Urban Atmospheres and Imaginary Americans. The principle of the two sections is to open a field of thought around a given theme and compare the different cinematic treatments of the topic.

Different events mark the highlight of the 4th edition: the Opening Night June 9 and the Closing Ceremony on June 16, amazing Premieres every night, Jeremy Irons and Émilie Dequenne Selections, five prestigious Master Class, all of which being a meeting with exceptional filmmakers, a retrospective of William Friedkin, Focus Mode, and finally, special sessions, with a special focus this year on three exclusive documentaries and charity events for the benefit of les Toile Enchantées association.

For a whole week, film enthusiasts will be offered the occasion to assist Paris's first film festival, guests staying at the Sister Hotels will be lucky to be within a walking distance fom the cinemas holding the event, do not miss it!
